PCMS PARENT Leadership Council (PLC)
PLC Meetings are held monthly on the sECOND Tuesday at 5:00 pm.
All parents are encouraged to attend the monthly board meetings held on campus.
If you have not already joined, please contact the Chair Person or inquire at the school office. Your involvement goes a long way in making PCMS the great school that it is! Parent involvement is so important, that families are encouraged to volunteer each semester. Involvement in PLC is one of the many ways in which parents can participate in their child’s school.
PLC can use parent volunteers for assistance with many activities such as baking/purchasing treats for events, chaperoning dances, and facility and grounds maintenance (rain gutters, tree trimming, painting). Please call if you are interested in helping in any of these areas.
PCMS Partners with parents in several ways
PCMS partners with parents in several ways. One is the monthly Parent Leadership Council (PLC) meeting. This parent organization elects officers and focuses on two primary functions that support the program at PCMS:
- Fundraising to supplement the fees for the three major field trips our students participate in the spring each year
- and sponsoring community events three times a year.
Additionally, there are subcommittees within the PLC that support the development of the School Safety Plan, and the LCAP. A parent liaison from the PLC partners with the Administrator to ensure identified family needs are addressed.
Contact the school office or administrator for more information on becoming a member of the PLC.
